Korea, Japan discuss wartime sex slavery issue in Seoul

Senior officials from Korea and Japan are holding talks aimed at resolving the issue of Tokyo's wartime sexual enslavement of Korean women.
The talks between Korea's chief delegate Lee Sang-deok and his Japanese counterpart Junichi Ihara started about an hour ago.
It's the seventh meeting of its kind but the two sides have yet to make any substantial progress on the highly sensitive subject.
Seoul has called on Tokyo to take sincere steps to compensate the aging victims, but Japan insists the matter was settled through a bilateral treaty signed in 1965.
