"Two large objects" found in AirAsia search: official

Indonesia says it's found two large objects and an oil slick in the search for the AirAsia plane that crashed into the sea.

The head of the agency in charge said the objects were found close to each other, 30 metres underwater.

Divers now have to battle large waves to retrieve them.

Search teams hope the discovery will bring them closer to finding the plane's flight recorders, which should help in finding out what caused last Sunday's crash from Surabaya to Singapore.

At least 30 bodies have been recovered so far.

"I hope that relatives and next-of-kins remain resilient in facing this disaster. No one wants this. God will give rescuers the strength to find the black box and finish the search process smoothly."

There were 162 people on board the plane, most of them Indonesians. No survivors have been found.
