KFC and Pizza Hut have a SECRET!!! - Food Feeder

Yum! Brands, which owns KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell thinks secret fast food menus are for amateurs. Real pros have SECRET RESTAURANTS!

As part of a cleverly constructed web of branding-based lies, Yum Brands is launching a chain of Banh Mi restaurant concept. And since they recognize the limited market overlap between people who know what Banh Mi is, and people who regularly order Pizza Hut and consume Doritos Locos tacos, they've decided to disassociate the new chain, called Banh Shop from their pre-existing brands. Now, that's some image anxiety and self-hatred even a 13-year-old girl would be hard-pressed to match!

They're trying a similar strategy with their back-to-basics chicken sandwich shop, Super Chix - a concept similar to Chick-Fil-A. Which - whether or not they're trying to differentiate themselves from their KFC sister company - sounds like a super-dubious name for a place to eat.

Will you try Banh Shop, whether or not it's from the people who brought you Taco Bell? Texas Feeders - have you tried Super Chix? How does it compare to KFC and Chick-Fil-A? Do you know any other tales of brands trying to distance themselves from themselves?
