Surf n’ Turf from Pizza Hut?!? - Food Feeder

Ah Surf n’ Turf: Meat! Seafood! Oh, the excess! Apparently, Pizza Hut in Korea wanted to get in on that action, but raise the bar further, by including dessert too! Because anything worth overdoing is worth REEEAAALLY overdoing.

Here in the ol’ U. S. of A, we thought the “Crown Crust” pizza was quite excessive enough, especially when served up in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles flavor combinations. But that’s another show (literally: http://goo.gl/lcPgjU). But, Pizza Hut affiliates overseas are taking it to the next level, and the latest entry in the stuffed-crust arms race is Pizza Hut Korea’s Surf n’ Turf “Star Edge” Pizza. If you’re not put off by the idea of getting shrimp, calamari, and “steak” (among other things) on a fast-food pizza, get this: the star edge crust is folded around pockets of “dessert” cream cheese fillings in apple and cranberry.

At this point, we’re pretty sure the Korean Pizza Hut product people are just daring everyone else to come up with something even slightly more ridiculous. They’re playing crazy mind games against the competition, too, because the commercials for this new product feature a happy spokesman with inexplicably ENORMOUS HANDS.

Would you try the Surf n’ Turf Pizza from the Korean Pizza Hut? Are you in Korea currently, and have you tried this “Star Edge” pizza? Have you seen an exemplar of an even more excessive pizza anywhere in your world travels, or should all other fast food chains just give up now? Have you seen any other worthy topics for future Feeder episodes?
