Instant Jambalaya From Denny's??? - Food Feeder
  • 10 years ago
In the U.S. Denny's is synonymous with Grand Slam breakfasts and mediocre diner food, but in Japan, Denny's is most proud of its jambalaya. So proud, in fact, that they're teaming with the Cup Noodles folks to make an instant version you can make at home!

Denny's partnership with Nisson, the instant-ramen company, is apparently to celebrate Denny's 40th anniversary. Given that cup-based ramen is a thoroughly sad imitation of what was originally a transcendent dish, we can only imagine how this jambalaya will turn out after getting two mediocrity-makeovers.
Across the sea in China, they've come up with a vending machine that dispenses steamed rice. We're surprised vending machine-obsessed Japan didn't come up with this, but perhaps steamed rice is just too ordinary to be considered as a Japanese vending machine product - no used underwear or tentacle porn, after all.
