Whisky Tasting: The Bowmore Black Rock

Nosing 3:50
Whisky.com tastes the Bowmore Black Rock. The Bowmore Black rock was named after a rock formation on the Islay of Islay. It replaces the 12 year old enigma. With no age statement and a higher price its not as a good catch as the enigma.

The nose:
A little smokiness, dark fruits, raisins, plums, cacao with a little orange. Also some vanilla.
The taste:
Lots of sherry, black currant, caramel, and a faint cinnamon.
The finish:
The whisky stays balanced and slowly fades out.
