McDonald's has always been known to run every food item idea they have ever had through the menu, test it, and then discontinue the duds. Sometimes things work in some places and not in others - which is why the French still have McBeer and the best we can hope for is a semi-flat Dr. Pepper. This go around, McDonald's is discontinuing their Fruit and Walnut Salad and their Chicken Selects. The Angus Third Pounder is also on the chopping block, so if you love it, go eat a lot of it and try to save your friend. OR, try having a real burger made of real food sometime.

What are your thoughts on the the death of these McItems? Are you happy? Sad? What was your favorite discontinued McDonald's menu items?
