Walmart Changes Expiration Dates on Food?

We've never talked about Walmart before, mainly because it isn't the first place that comes to mind when you think food (we hope). It turns out that people do grocery shop at Walmart and one shopper noticed they've been changing their "best buy" dates on donuts and posted it on Reddit as proof. We all know that expiration dates on food are estimates and you should use them as a general indication more than as some golden rule. There's no point in throwing away good milk just because the date passed, and sometimes things go bad before the date even comes to pass. BUT that general indicator is still a fairly important guideline for everyone to be aware of when they eat their food and for stores to sell their food by. We don't know if these alleged photos of Walmart glazed donuts are real, but if you ever see these kinds of stickers piled up on each other like this, make sure you check! Also, maybe buy your food from people who actually mainly sell food.
