Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Services crews began pumping water away from the Somerset town of Burrowbridge on January 31. Farmland around Burrowbridge have been underwater since at least January 5 following heavy rain. High tides and water levels in the River Parrett have prevented pumping until now .
