Hofman's Rubber Duck faces competition as giant golden chicken floats into Taiwan

Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman's giant Rubber Duck is facing competition on the last leg of its Taiwan tour, now that an equally giant Golden Chicken has been placed directly opposite it in Keelung's harbor. The duckie's fowl friend was built to promote the Hong Kong movie Golden Chickensss (金雞SSS), the sequel to actress Sandra Ng's (吳君如) hits Golden Chicken and Golden Chicken 2. The two giant fowls will face off in a popularity contest over the Chinese New Year holidays. Despite the novelty of the Golden Chicken, Hofman's yellow Rubber Duck is expected to melt more hearts.
