Rubber duck in Taiwan explodes AGAIN; becomes an international joke

The giant rubber duck docked in Keelung Harbor in Taiwan exploded on the last day of 2013. It was the second duck to meet an unnatural death in Taiwanese waters--another duck popped last month while on exhibit in the northern city of Taoyuan.

A video showing the enormous bath toy's head bursting went viral, much to the amusement of international audiences, and the embarrassment of Taiwanese netizens. Some took the incident as a sign of bad luck for the coming year, while others just found it funny.

The popping was featured in several year-end round-ups by international media organizations, including The Huffington Post, CNN, the Telegraph, and the Metro.
