Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis could spend up to five years in a Los Angeles County prison after being convicted Monday of almost half a dozen misdemeanor counts linked with assaults on three women.

Francis, 40, was convicted after a two-week jury trial on five charges, three counts of false imprisonment, one count of dissuading a witness from reporting and one count of assault causing great bodily injury, all related to a Jan. 29, 2011 incident. A hearing to schedule his sentencing is slated for Wednesday.

Francis met the trio after a night out at the Supper Club in Hollywood in 2011. He took one of them by the hand and led her to his limo and her two friends followed because they thought Francis was going to give them a lift to their car. Francis instead took them to his home. He then tried to separate one of the girls from the other two and a fight ensued. Francis allegedly grabbed one of the women by the hair and throat and slammed her head into the floor. The women were then escorted out of the house and supposedly told that a taxi would not be called and paid for if they notified the police. Francis also threatened the women not to call the police. After the women got into the taxi they called 911 and met LAPD cops where their car was parked.

Francis faces up to five years in Los Angeles County Jail. Guess we should now keep our eyes open for 'Prisoners Gone Wild' - starring Joe Francis.
