Insulation is a big business in Europe with its long winters. Now it’s also catching on in the United Arab Emirates - at temperatures of 40°C in the shade. In this case, however, the point is to keep the heat out. Keeping cool has proved costly until now, with air conditioning systems often on non-stop. To help improve energy efficiency, the Emirates is calling on German expertise.
