Cruise ship inches closer to Alabama

The Cruise Ship Triumph is inching its way toward Mobile, Alabama
Dorothy McKnight 's daughter Stephanie is one of the more than 4,000 people trapped on board the vessel dubbed the "floating toilet."
SOUNDBITE: Dorothy Mcknight, mother Of passenger Stephanie Cassidy saying:
"She said it was just awful. There is no water. They have to defecate in bags and set it outside the door, very, very little food, very hot, very uncomfortable. So, they are just trying to make do until they can get here."
This image from onboard the ship shows one of the waste bags passengers have started using after the toilets began overflowing. The stench drove some to set up cots outdoors while others huddled around power strips to charge their phones.
Triumph has had limited power since an engine fire broke out almost five days ago.
On Dauphin Island, one of Alabama's outer islands, locals waited for a glimpse of the doomed ship.

"It's a shame. It's sad when you take off and you want to enjoy a vacation and then you have an ending like this. It's really sad, but things happen. And it's just, they could be in a car and have a car break down. That stuff happens, so I think Carnival is probably doing all they can do for them."
The cruise ship is expected to arrive in the Mobile port sometime during the evening.
