Extreme fun: Sailing in the breakers with a 3x1 model boat. But sails have to fit to the wind!
  • vor 11 Jahren
In the breakers of the beach of Anholt (an island in the Kattegat, Baltic Sea) we have proofed the amazing stability of our model boat 3x1. It capsized more than 10 times in shallow water, the mast hits ground, but nothing was broken and no water in the boat.

It was a really good show for the guests on the crowded beach.

We sailed in 5-6 beaufort with storm wind sails in the evening (only photos on our website) and during the next day with decreasing wind from 4-2 beaufort. Due to the decreasing wind the storm wind sails had not enough power to push the boat trough the breakers, and they didn´t accelerate the boat downwind to prevent the waves overtaking the boat.
