Turkey returns fire after Syrian mortar attack

Mortars fired from Syria hit this Turkish border town around mid-day. They reportedly landed inside this plant belonging to Turkey's Grain board.

And unlike the attack last Wednesday, Turkey's military returned fire immediately.

There were no immediate reports of casualties

The exchanges are the most serious cross-border violence in Syria's conflict, which began as pro-democracy protests but has evolved into a civil war with sectarian overtones.
