Abstract Oil Paintings
This video is part of a series of videos showing my collection of original abstract art.
Oil paintings/KEYWORD make up most of my art work although some are created utilizing pencil and acrylic medium, starting with my earlier works from my high school art classes.
I take pleasure in painting areas where I have traveled. Many of the places in my abstract art paintings are of North America, Europe (Venice, Paris and Florence), Thailand and various cities in Australia. I work from my own images of the locations I have visited.
I also work from a selection of photos ranging from pets, animals, vacation images, flowers or a favorite object such as a peacock feather.
My original abstract art technique is done with a painterly approach. I utilize coarse bristles and pallet knives to achieve a block-like stroke. I like using a vibrant color pallet to produce an energetic atmosphere in my abstract oil paintings.
The style is able to be painted in photo-realism, expressionist, abstract or my personal style.
