Abstract Art Paintings
This video is part of a set of videos reflecting my collection of abstract expressionism paintings.
Oil paintings make up most of my art pieces although some are created using pencil and acrylic medium, starting with my initial works from my high school art classes.
I enjoy painting places where I have traveled. Some of the places appearing in the abstract art pictures are of North America, Europe (Venice, Paris and Florence), Thailand and various cities in Australia. I work from my own images of the spots I have visited.
I similarly work from a variety of photos ranging from pets, animals, vacation images, flowers or a favorite object like a peacock feather.
My abstract expressionism technique is executeded with a painterly approach. I utilize coarse bristles and pallet knives to achieve a block-like stroke. I like using a vibrant color pallet to generate an energetic atmosphere in my abstract art paintings.
The style is able to be painted in photo-realism, expressionist, abstract or my personal style.
