Isaac traps dozens in their homes

South of New Orleans, Isaac's downgrade to a tropical storm, was cold comfort to dozens of people trapped in their homes.
When the rescue team spots a white sheet on the roof of this house, they move in.
Danny Mason had one objective as he waited for help.
SOUNDBITE: Danny Mason saying:
"Just trying to stay dry. I didn't expect the water to come up like this. I expected a little just a little rain. By the time I realized water was coming in, it was half way up the stairs."
Among the rescued were dogs and even a cow. Flood waters in Plaquemines Parish overflowed a levee bringing more uncertainty to an area still recovering Hurricane Katrina.
SOUNDBITE: Woman holding dog saying:
"This one was the worst one we ever had."
Amazingly, others are choosing wait out the storm.
SOUNDBITE: Jason Dallon saying:
"Nah, we are alright. We got the boat out back and we got plenty of water."
Parts of Louisiana and Mississipi are experiencing storm surges of up to 12 feet and are bracing as Isaac heads to the west.
