The carnage continued in Syria where attacks in the cities of Damascus and Idlib reportedly took numerous lives.

Syrian state television claims that 12 people were killed and dozens wounded in the capital, when a car bomb exploded at a funeral, allegedly targeting supporters of President Bashar al-Assad.

A local human rights organization says the two men being buried were Assad supporters.

And in the northern city of Idlib, an air strike left an unaccounted number of people dead and wounded and buildings destroyed.

Video of the aftermath, uploaded to a social media website, is one of a growing number of activist clips which allegedly show government air attacks on Syrian cities.

The United Nations estimates more than 18,000 people have been killed since the start of the uprising against Assad in March of last year.
