Rebels try to retake lost ground in Aleppo.

Amateur video out of Syria which could not be independently verified by Reuters appears to show rebels launching a counter offensive in Syria's largest city.

The Syrian government is trying to crush a rebellion launched last March. The UN has said there will be no winner in Syria.

Aleppo has been pounded from the air, and assaulted on the ground. But there are no signs yet of an infantry advance that would be required for President Bashar-al Assad to take full control of the city.
