Brazil pulsates with Carnival's samba beats

Brazil's annual five-day carnival in Rio De Janeiro has been officially launched under a shower of confetti and pulsating samba beats.

Sao Paulo, Brazil's economic capital and Latin America's most populous city, has also launched its own carnival celebrations on Friday.

Al Jazeera's Gabriel Elizondo reports from Sao Paulo.
