They say no good deed goes unpunished. After seeing a car careen through a fence and plummet into a river, a man in Moscow stopped his Audi SUV and immediately jumped in to rescue the passengers. A young woman was able to escape with the help of the daring man but sadly, her 27 year old husband drowned.

While this tragic and brave story was playing out, a vile thief stole the hero’s car leaving him stranded. Moscow police were not able to track down the stolen car straight away, which is estimated at being valued at around $92,000 dollars.

In a similar case, Colin Bruley grabbed a shotgun before attending to a shooting victim in the apartment complex where he lived and worked as a leasing agent. The building management claimed he violated company polices citing ‘gross misconduct’ for carrying a weapon even though it had not been used in the incident. Jim Moffett was hit by a truck and hospitalized after helping two elderly women cross the street. Colorado police issued him a jaywalking ticket as a way of thanks.
