Love triangle drowning accident: Man’s girlfriend drowns herself as he attempts to save his ex

If your ex-girlfriend and your current girlfriend were both drowning, who would you save? It’s like a scene from a cheesy drama.
Unfortunately, one young man in Chongqing, China was forced to answer this question on the afternoon of Oct. 31st.
The young man, his ex-girlfriend and his current girlfriend all agreed to meet up near the bank of the Yangtze River to discuss relationship problems the three of them had been having.
The ex-girlfriend had been demanding the man to leave his current girlfriend and come back to her. To demonstrate how serious she was, she jumped into the river.
The boyfriend then jumped into the river after her, presumably because she couldn’t swim. Witnesses say that the remaining woman on the shore yelled at them for a few seconds before jumping in as well.
Unfortunately, the only two to reach the shore were the young man and the ex-girlfriend. The current girlfriend was nowhere to be seen and it wasn’t until almost 10 minutes later that a fishing boat came to the rescue and was able to locate her body.
Once on shore emergency personnel confirmed that the woman was dead.
