Wire wound resistor made of 2mm galv. wire of 0.1 ohms (cold resistance) 17 turns subjected to a 24 Volts accu 100Ah.
The excessive heat generated burns off the galvanised coating first, then within seconds the wire glows red hot and goes open circuit.
