Fluorescent tube under water on 2 MOT's

Some old 2 foot fluorescent tubes were tested under water with two MOT's in parrallel.
The first one lasted surprisingly long although the 2 lamps were in series.
Electrical experiments with MOT's are dangerous and safety needs to be taken into account by unplugging all equipment from the wall socket before altering any wiring.
