Capacitor popcorn

Some old TV circuit boards were put in the incinerator and the small non-vented caps popped very nice.
Just my $0.02 worth for the dislikers.
There appear to be a lot of people worried about a few boards burnt in a fire, I can't see why.
Every day world wide tens of thousands of old TV's are dumped in tips because people want new plasma or LCD TV's. This is part of a throw away society we have created. These TV's just rot away in the tip.
Recycling centres often send the old E-waste to countries like China where the TV's get stripped and burnt for copper and tin. What about shipping fuel costs and carbon emissions on top of an other location where it will get burnt anyway.
