Full body scanners installed in airports in the wake of the attempted bombing of a Christmas Day flight to the US are raising questions over privacy, health and cost.

In Europe, experts are gathering to assess the need for their introduction, with the EU meeting this week to discuss whether to put them to use in all member states.

Some airports, however, aren't waiting for a consensus and are already using the technology.
