Spain honours British war veterans - 9 Jun 09

Seventy years after the the end of the Spanish civil war, British war veterans who fought in the conflict have been rewarded with Spanish citizenships.

The veterans fought against the regime of Francisco Franco, the Spanish dictator, in a war which left about 500,000 people dead.

Al Jazeera's Nazanine Moshiri reports from the ceremony in London, where seven pensioners received Spanish passports.
