British veterans produce 'Tommy' figures for VE Day

Military veterans at Britain's Bravest Manufacturing Company - a social enterprise run by Royal British Legion Industries - are making 'Tommy' figures representing World War Two soldiers for people to put in their windows to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day. Coronavirus means there are fewer workers on shift than there would have been due to social distancing rules, and commemoration plans have been pared down, but Managing Director Kate Bull says demand for the statuettes shows people around the UK are keen to mark the anniversary.
