Mercedes Gives $1M for Youth Sports; McDonald's Reports 90 Better Eco Practices; Eaton Named to 100 Best Corporate Citizens by CR Magazine - CSR Minute for April 25, 2012

Mercedes has pledged $1.3 million dollars this year to the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, an organization that improves the lives of youth through sports. The funds will support coaches in five U.S. cities: Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and New Orleans.

McDonald’s is reporting 90 examples of improvements in the company’s environmental initiatives. The 2012 Global Best of Green report collects McDonald’s best practices that impact the company’s business and brand while making progress in environmental sustainability.

Eaton has been named one of CR Magazine’s “100 Best Corporate Citizens” for the fifth consecutive year. The industrial manufacturer raised its ranking from 33rd in 2011 to 17th overall, and fifth in the Climate Change category.
