Volunteers help Chile quake victims

As the earthquake in Chile triggered a tsunami that devastated parts of the coast, many residents from towns like Pelluhue and Curanipe lost their homes.

In solidarity with the victims, many ordinary Chileans have gathered food, clothes and other essentials and headed out searching for people left homeless.

Some say the government is taking too long to distribute aid.

Al Jazeera's Mariana Sanchez reports from the tsunami-hit areas.
