A ninth Tibetan has died after setting herself on fire Monday in Sichuan Province. The BBC reports that 20-year-old Tenzin Wangmo called for a free Tibet before claiming her own life.
Over the weekend, an eighth Tibetan set himself on fire in protest of the Chinese regime's rule, according to Free Tibet. It comes right after a photo of the first monk who self-immolated emerges.
According to Free Tibet, many young monks are ready to die in a sacrificial act of desperation to draw media attention. There were reported pamphlets being circulated in the streets that said, "many more people were prepared to give up their lives in protest" should Chinese policies continue.
