How to Do Yoga Warrior II Pose - part of the women's fitness video series by GeoBeats.

Hi, I'm Colleen and this is Brenna. We're at Bend Yoga Studio and we're going to show you Virabhadrasana II or Warrior II Pose. Brenna begins with her feet together and as she inhales she'll step her feet 3 to 4 feet apart from one another. Turning her left toes to face the front of her mat, she can turn her right toes in just slightly or keep the back edge of her right foot parallel to the back edges of her sticky mat. As she inhales she'll lift her fingertips up out of the sides, reaching her fingertips out of her shoulders. As she exhales she'll bend her left knee over her left toes. One she begins to come into the pose, her left leg will be at a 90 degree angle and she'll send energy back into her right foot so that both feet are equally grounded down to the floor. Drawing her belly slightly back towards her spine, she'll allow her shoulder blades to drop down her back softening the shoulders and extending out into her fingertips. If its comfortable her gaze can turn forward over her left fingertips.
