How to Do Yoga Low Lunge For Waist Strengthening Pose - part of the women's fitness video series by GeoBeats. Hi, I'm Colleen, this is Brenna, and we're at Bend Yoga Studio today. We're going to show you a little Lunge variation with a side stretch, that allows the sides of the waist to lengthen and extend. Brenna's going to begin by standing on her knees, she'll step her right foot forward to the front of her mat. Good. As her right knee comes over her right ankle, her shin bone will be perpendicular to the floor. As she's ready, she'll drop her left fingertips down to the left side of her body down to the floor. Taking a breath in she'll extend her spine, reach her right fingertips up to the sky. And as she breaths out, she'll lengthen the right side of her waist out of her hip. Drawing the right side of her waist long and breathing in to the side ribs on her right side of her body. Good. As she's ready, she'll slowly exhale and bring both hands to the floor.
