The classical Chinese dance and music company Shen Yun Performing Arts... kicked off its 2010-2011 season over the weekend. Its first show was held in the U.S. city of Dallas, where one audience member called the show "an eye-opener to Chinese culture." Our correspondents bring us there.

Shen Yun Performing Arts finished its second show in Dallas to thunderous applause. Many audience members spoke of the deep impression of traditional Chinese culture that the show gave them.

[Dan Little, Airplane Mechanic]:
"Oh, it was wonderful. We really enjoyed it. Very colorful. Very interesting as far as Chinese culture."

[Phillip Baudour, Flight Instructor]:
"I thought it was a wonderful reflection and eye-opener in to the Chinese culture. I really, really enjoyed it. I have been following the Chinese culture for many years. I have many Chinese friends. But this was just a real good eye-opener to the culture in general, for a historic view to the costumes and the energy that goes with the Chinese. I like it."

[Mrs. Baudour, Audience Member]:
"We came with different expectations and we were wowed. It was a great performance and we would certainly see it again."

Doctor Carlos Torres spoke of the artistic nature of the culture displayed in the show.

[Carlos Torres, Doctor]:
"It's very pretty. And I am enjoying seeing the culture, the Chinese culture, which is very rich...It is by itself art, the Chinese culture is art. It's just so beautiful and the way they show the culture through the dances is impressive."
