Oprah Winfrey tops Forbes' Celebrity 100 list

Chat show host Oprah Winfrey has come out on top of Forbes' annual list of The World's Most Powerful Celebrities.

Winfrey knocked former No.1, actress Angelina Jolie, out to regain her position as the highest-grossing celebrity, with an estimated $315million (around £203 million) in earnings.

Singer Beyonce claimed the second position, who earned a salary of $87million (£56million) thanks to endorsement deals and a 90-plus date world tour.

But the list also welcomes a newcomer in the top five, pop sensation Lady Gaga who has earned herself a place in fourth position with an income of £40million.

Gaga has catapulted herself into the prestigious list thanks to a 106-date tour and endorsement deals with Polaroid, Virgin Mobile, Monster Cable and Viva Glam.
