Prince Charles, Oprah Winfrey, other celebrities attend Mandela funeral

As the world sings their goodbyes to Nelson Mandela, the powerful and glamorous who paid their respects -- suggested the anti-apartheid hero's reach extended well beyond South Africa

Of the 4,500 guests at Mandela's funeral, the sea of attendees included bold faces names from the worlds of business, entertainment and even royal circles.

U.S. media mogul Oprah Winfrey was spotted among the crowd, along with civil rights activist, Reverend Jesse Jackson.

Britain's Prince Charles represented the Queen and Prince Albert of Monaco was seen in the crowd.

Also included was British actor Idris Elba, who played Madiba in the movie "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom."

Retired South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu, despite an earlier mix-up when he thought he had not been invited, also made it to the funeral.

Mandela's body was laid to rest in his boyhood village of Qunu on Sunday.
