US Says 4 of 5 Israeli Army Units "Remediated" Gross Human Rights Violations, No Restrictions On Aid

The United States found five units of Israel's security forces responsible for gross violations of human rights, according to the US State Department. This is the first time the US has reached such a conclusion about the Israeli forces. The units found to be involved in abuses in the West Bank are mostly from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) but include at least one police unit. However, the US has not barred any of the units from receiving US military assistance. The US justified its stance by saying that Israel has conducted "remediation" in the cases of four of the units.
