Price of the BMW M 1000 XR: € 28,950

The heart of the model, also known as BMW M. For its part, the maximum torque is 113 Nm at 11,000 rpm, while the engine cut-off value is at 14,600 rpm. Engine response also benefits from a shorter gear ratio, now with a 47-tooth sprocket (instead of 45 on the S XR). In addition, the 4th, 5th and 6th gear ratios are shorter than standard, which benefits rear wheel thrust and acceleration in all conditions. The improvements are achieved thanks to an optimized intake system with variable intake funnels to improve charge exchange at high speeds. Additionally, the highly curved titanium muffler with carbon coating is the icing on the engine's cake.

Of course, the BMW M 1000 XR also brings outstanding aerodynamic work, which was an important element in the development. We see fins in the area of the front side panels to achieve greater stability at high speeds. To give us an idea, at around 100 km/h there is an increase in the load on the front wheels. This load increases by approximately 12 kg at 220 km/h.

The chassis has also been adapted to this more assertive driving. The aluminum bridge frame is the center piece on which the rest of the bike is built. At the front we find a 45 mm inverted fork with a closed cartridge and separate hydraulic systems. New features of the BMW M XR include suspension support with Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) as standard, as well as additional adjustment at the base of the fork spring. Of course, it also comes with an adjustable steering damper (new), milled handlebar clamp, and more forward-facing black tubular handlebars with laser-etched "BMW M XR" lettering. Rear-view mirrors are also new and fixed to the ends of the handlebars (optional). The fork legs have also been changed and are now designed to fit the new M brake calipers.

And there's a significant step forward in braking, thanks to the M brakes with a radial handbrake master cylinder developed at the WSBK World Championship (the third bike to have one after its M siblings). The calipers have a blue anodized finish as well as the famous M logo. They are equipped with two 320 mm, 5 mm thick discs at the front and black anodized aluminum brake disc supports. We must not forget other details such as the M Endurance Chain, M handbrake and clutch levers.

Another great component of the BMW M 1000 is that we can also have the special M Carbon wheels with newly designed treads as an option in the M Competition package or on their own.

An important innovation we see in this model is the Brake Slip Assist function, which allows you to slide with a constant slide in bends.

Additionally, this BMW M 1000 In turn, the driver can now choose from four available adjustable throttle features for optimum response. You can also adapt the "Engine Brake" with triple adjustment of the engine drag torque in the "Race Pro" mode.
