The KTM 1390 Super Duke R EVO is a much more sophisticated version of its base model, the revamped KTM 1390 Super Duke R, which takes a step forward in performance, ergonomics and technology in 2024.
Therefore, we take as a reference the magnificent Austrian supernaked with all its engine, chassis and equipment features, but we find some features that differentiate this KTM 1390 Super Duke R EVO and, as has been customary in recent years, focus on.
This is already the third generation of WP's SAT (Semi-Active Technology) technology, thanks to which the settings can be variably controlled electronically with just the push of a button. After analyzing the data collected by the IMU, the SCU suspension control unit adapts the suspension rates in real time using magnetic valves depending on the surface and driving style. On the TFT screen you can see all the data and edit the variables by choosing one of five suspension modes: AUTO, COMFORT, RAIN, STREET and SPORT; Extra Track and Pro modes can be added in the optional Suspension PRO package.
This Suspension Pro offers three preload settings called LOW, STANDARD and HIGH. The system can automatically calculate and adapt the preload based on the weight of the rider and regenerate 3 predefined geometries called AUTOSTANDARD (balance), AUTO-LOW (less aggressive, more comfortable) and AUTO-HIGH (aggressive geometry, more load).
This package also has an anti-dive function to keep the front axle more stable and solid during sudden braking.
One of the new features of the KTM 1390 Super Duke R EVO 2024 is the so-called Factory Start feature included in this Suspension Pro package. This is a configuration inspired by the device used in MotoGP and automatically reduces the preload of the vehicle. Rear monoshock absorber to lower the rear when going out. This helps increase the weight on the rear wheel and apply more acceleration.
