House Speaker Romualdez, tiniyak ang patuloy na suporta para sa pagpapaunlad ng Palawan

00:11 encouraged the Palawenos to continue and support the government
00:15 not only in the 3rd Congressional District but also in the whole province.
00:19 This is what the House Leader announced
00:23 in front of the local officials of Puerto Princesa City and the municipality of Aborlan.
00:29 Rumaldes is now serving as the caretaker of the District of Namayapang
00:33 Representative Edward Hagedorn.
00:36 According to Rumaldes, as a recognition of Hagedorn's legacy
00:40 they are distributing programs in infrastructure, agriculture, technology and education
00:47 to further promote Palawan and to be recognized as a global tourist destination.
00:53 Some of these programs are strengthening the Palawan Hospital,
00:57 the establishment of cruise port facilities and free Wi-Fi in public places.
01:02 Rumaldes added, aside from encouraging tourism in the province
01:07 President Ferdinand R. Vargas, Jr. has continued to protect our sovereignty
01:12 and particular interests in the West Philippine Sea.
01:15 That's why in the 2024 budget, a large fund was allocated
01:19 for the installation of facilities in Pag-asa Island in the free Palawan.
01:24 Meanwhile, the DSWD is in the lead in Puerto Princesa City.
01:28 Speaker Rumaldes is in charge of rice and financial aid worth Php 12 million.
01:34 Rumaldes led the ceremonial distribution of aid to 2,200 indigent
01:40 for the Cash and Rice Assistance Program or CARD.
01:43 They received Php 3,000 cash aid from the DSWD
01:47 and 5 kilos of rice from the Office of the House Speaker.
01:51 Among the aid recipients, 700 individuals were burned alive.
01:57 In my capacity as your legislative district caretaker
02:01 and as the Speaker of the House of Representatives,
02:04 I pledge to marshal all the necessary resources
02:08 to support our key developmental priorities.
02:13 This commitment extends beyond mere words.
02:17 It is a promise that has already been set into motion.
02:20 The support from Congress for Puerto Princesa, Borlan, and the whole of Palawan
02:27 will remain steadfast and unyielding.
02:30 The authorities gathered in the town of Calasio, Pangasinan
02:34 to investigate the location where the "skin of a snake" was found
02:39 that caused fear among residents of Barangay Buied.
02:42 The skin was found in a reticulated python
02:48 that was almost 30 years old and had 16 to 25 teeth.
02:54 The area is now prohibited from entering
02:58 other parts of the barangay and nearby areas
03:02 as it may be infected by a "skin of a snake."
