Magenta - album Canterbury moon 1978

  • 2 mesi fa
Debut album by very popular folk band Magenta operating out the Bristol area from 1975 untill 1985.
Magenta played a mix of original and traditional songs and tunes using various acoustic instruments and four voices. Initially, the instrumentation was limited to acoustic guitars, whistle, dulcimer, mandolin and glockenspiel, no keyboards, bass and drums. The song usually covered various folky topics with old folk tales being given a modern treatment. Warm and clean sounds and beautiful male/female vocals, with pensive and melancholic harmonies.
