Sfinx — Zalmoxe 1978 (Romania, Progressive/Folk Rock)
  • last year
The second album in the discography of the group from Bucharest. Conceptual work based on the legends of the ancient Dacians (ancestors of the Romanians). In 1979, the Romanian authorities destroyed the solo single Dan Andrei Aldea, and he himself emigrated to West Germany in 1980. It was the end of the classic line-up band. They released another album after that, but it can hardly be classified as "progressive". After the fall of the Ceausescu regime, former colleagues called Aldea to revive the group, but he refused and never returned to Romania.
