Glasgow headlines 14 February: Three people have been taken to hospital following a fire

Three people have been taken to hospital after a fire broke out in the Ibrox area of Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to Copland Road around midday on 13 February to reports of a blaze in a ground floor flat.

The area has since been cornered off by police and the condition of those being treated is unknown.

Next up, the Viva Brazil restaurant on Bothwell Street has closed permanently after 12 years in business, with the owner insisting he had no other choice due to escalating costs.

He said it was a very difficult move to make but ultimately had no other option.

And finally, a consultation is set to begin which may see the former O2 ABC transformed into a food hall and student housing development.

Proposals have been put forward to turn the former venue and Jumpin Jaks on Sauchiehall Street into a vibrant space for food, drink and live music.

The group behind the project is now asking members of the public for their opinion.
