AI is already here and will grow bigger exponentialy over the following decade. Soon AI will control the internet, the cloud and everything in cyberspace. Everything electronic will rely upon AI to function. Manufacturing, transport, satellites, logistics and all in between.
While that may paint a rosy picture for human advancement, there are dangers.
Its not just the main concern of how far we allow AI to control our lives, its something far more devastating that will put us back in the dark ages.
WHAT IF IT FAILS?
Apart from rouge software, hacking or systems failure, it would only take a small sneeze from the Sun pointing towards earth and its LIGHTS OUT!! Everything electronic would fail including everything AI. The entire planet would be devastated. Its not IF but WHEN as our Sun has done this several times in recent past.
