This enchanting exhibition combines the creative talents of artist Jackie Morris and writer Robert Macfarlane to celebrate the relationship between language and the living world, and nature’s power to spark the imagination.
Organised by Compton Verney, with Hamish Hamilton and Penguin Books, the exhibition is based on The Lost Words, the Sunday Times bestselling book, published in 2017. The Lost Words began as a response to the removal of the names of plants and animals from children’s dictionaries due to their lack of use in everyday life.
