Nikki Haley, a Republican candidate for president, has asked for Secret Service protection, citing increasing threats as she challenges Donald Trump for the 2024 GOP nomination. Haley told the Wall Street Journal her campaign has "had multiple issues," and the threats are not going to stop her. She is currently escorted by personal security at events in her home state of South Carolina. Last week Haley indicated her security was being beefed up, but threats come with running for office.
