'Gas Station Heroin' Neptune's Fix Tied to Seizures and Death, Warns FDA
  • 3 months ago
The FDA issued an urgent warning against using supplements called Neptune's Fix, also known as "gas station heroin". Neptune's Fix products contain the substance tianeptine and are commonly sold at gas stations and convenience stores. The FDA linked the use of Neptune's Fix to severe side effects like seizures, loss of consciousness, and death. Neptune Resources, the manufacturer, has voluntarily agreed to recall the remaining lots of Neptune's Fix products. Tianeptine is not approved for medical use in the US, according to the FDA and CDC.
