The Dallas Cowboys (11-5) beat the Detroit Lions (11-5) 20-19 on Saturday night in AT&T Stadium and move their at-home win streak to 16 and 8-0 this season,

It came down to the final play of the game, Dallas was up six with 1:42 seconds left in the fourth. The Lions had no timeouts left and had an amazing drive down the field and scored within. 30 seconds. Detroit down one point and Head Coach Dan Campbell decided to go for the two-point conversion. The first one was successful but a penalty was thrown. The refs stated that no. 68 did not report therefore the play did not count. The next two attempts failed due to the Cowboys defense and Dallas took the victory.

The Cowboys defense held their own all game only giving up 19 points to their opponents. The offense struggled to convert on third down but made some solid plays throughout the game, including a 92-yard touchdown from QB Dak Prescott to WR CeeDee Lamb after Prescott escaped a sack and a possible safety.

Lamb had a multiple record breaking night with 13 receptions for 227 yards. He now has 1,651 yards this season, which is second best in the NFL. Lamb broke Michael Irvin’s record for most yards in a single season by any Cowboys wide receiver. He also broke the record with most receptions in a single season, Irvin held that record with 111, after Saturday’ game Lamb has 122.

Lamb’s 92-yard touchdown was his eight straight game scoring a touchdown which is the longest active streak in the NFL.

Prescott also had an amazing night, he threw 26/38 for 345 yards and one touchdown. He also threw one interception. That was Prescott’s fifth game this season throwing for 300+ yards.

Following the game we spoke to Prescott and he said that the win against the Lions was huge especially coming after two back-to-back losses to the Bills and the Dolphins.

He said, “Nobody should be doing bad, this should be everyone’s best.” Prescott stated these are the games they have to win to prepare for the playoffs.

The Cowboys will head to Washington to take on the Commanders next Sunday. Kickoff for these two teams has yet to be decided.
